PROJECT:

Band of bohemia

For funky-chic Ravenswood gastropub Band of Bohemia, JackLee was tapped to turn an old loft building space into a fully (and stylishly) functional bar and restaurant for beer connoisseurs. Old finishes and even older plumbing had to be addressed, so JackLee set a weekly meetings cadence with the first-time restaurant owners and the architect for full transparency—and to pivot as necessary as adjustments came up. JackLee also jumped in on designing and drawing up out-of-the-box structural plans for the entire project, as well as customizing a Chicago-compliant brewery buildout for the production of Band of Bohemia’s seasonal culinary brews, keeping the client up to code every step of the way. Today, Band of Bohemia boasts a Michelin star and its craft beers are carried in such trend-forward restaurants as Roister, The Bristol and Proxi.
