left coast

A healthy food concept that’s both delicious and convenient, Left Coast Food + Juice has two locations in Chicago. For the dietary-forward hospitality brand’s River West and River North locations, JackLee was brought on to design and build custom millwork, both kitchens, stone countertops, bathrooms, and capacity-conscious benches for the customers in keeping with Left Coast’s surfer-cool vibe. Some standard challenges presented themselves, including coordinating the ordering and deliveries of kitchen equipment from multiple vendors across multiple shipments, as well as working within the rules and regulations provided by both existing highrise buildings. At the Franklin Street location, the floor was two levels, presenting a giant hole in the kitchen that JackLee had to waterproof and fill. And because the plumbing couldn’t be run underneath the kitchen per usual, JackLee had to get creative with new insulation and pour a concrete top to ensure the ComEd vault was secure. Each Left Coast location took JackLee approximately 12 weeks to complete.
